Christie Michelle Stewart is a classically trained fine artist currently located in Portland, OR. Influenced by the old masters she allows her paintings to express themselves through imaginary realism often featuring friends from a rapidly growing taxidermy collection.
She studied first at the Florence Academy of Art before continuing her advanced atelier training at the Ravenswood Atelier in Chicago, IL.
Her paintings have been acquired by a number of private collectors and seen in many regional and national galleries. She was featured top tier of Fine Art View’s ‘Boldbrush’ Competition, and included in the Greenhouse Gallery’s “Salon International” in San Antonio, TX. She has recently been featured at many galleries around Oregon including the Rogue Valley Art Gallery in Medford, OR and the APU Gallery in Ashland, OR. She is a member of The Oil Painters of America, The Portrait Society of America, American Women Artists, and The Cecilia Beau Forum.
Christie currently teaches workshops and gives private instruction in the Portland area.
